The new PVsyst Version 5.0 represents a major modernization of the software, resulting of more than 2 years of development. In particular, this version provides:
- a multilanguage interface (English, French, German, Spanish and Italian)
- the possibility to define multi PV fields
- an improved definition of the inverters, allowing to take into account Multi-MPPT devices
- the simulation of PV systems with heterogeneous orientations

In this Version 5.06 (released 26 January 2010):
1. Vista and Windows 7 64-bit compatibility: parenthesis were not allowed in the default directory program files (i86) proposed by Windows .
2. PV model: saturation current Io limit down to 0.1 pA (problems at low temp.)
3. Helioclim data: the provider have modified the site's format => readapted the program for a compatible easy importation. bugs with master/slave definitions (sometimes divisions by 0) possibility of Strongly Oversized inverters (by modif. Hidden parameters).
4. Shading calculations sometimes freezed. Improve reliability of shading calc.
